About the seminar: Dr Eddy Lee will be sharing the mistakes he had made during his career from engineering to PhD and then into the venture capital world. He would be blending in content such as lean start-up methodology, how his company, Coffee Ventures selects investments, and some motivational stories. The webinar will inspire postgraduate students to seek career opportunities outside of research. Participants will also learn how to apply their skills to industries who are ready to hire them.
About the speaker: Eddy has invested in dozens of tech startups in the US and Asian ones including Carro, 99.co, Pomelo and Alodokter. He relocated from Silicon Valley to Asia to support the region's growing startup ecosystem. He coaches at INSEAD and Stanford’s StartX accelerator among other institutions. He was formerly a Stanford University consulting professor, a medical imaging scientist, and a circuit design engineer.
